As a Maryland wedding photographer, I’m always excited to document a wedding at a new venue. Jenny and Paulina found Woodend Sanctuary and Mansion in Chevy Chase by chance. It was the first venue they visited and they immediately fell in love with it.

Woodend Sanctuary Fall Wedding

October is definitely the best month to get married in Woodend Sanctuary and Mansion. We had the best colors for their wedding. Yellow, red, and orange, it was perfect for any photos. The ceremony was outside: it felt like we were lost in nature. The other reason Paulina and Jenny decided on this venue is that they could have a fabulous outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception at the same location. Woodend is a serene and timeless venue and really doesn’t require much decorating, especially inside the mansion.

Historical Mansion for the morning prep

Another reason to choose Woodend Sanctuary for your wedding: the rooms to get ready in have everything you need for your photographer: a beautiful natural light coming from the large windows, and a spacious room nicely furnished.
